hwloc-nox software package provides Hierarchical view of the machine - non-X version of utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hwloc-nox
hwloc-nox is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hwloc-nox package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hwloc-nox *
You will get with hwloc-nox package name, version, architecture and description in a table
